I always knew my EMT skills would come in handy one day, and it most certainly has helped in the past. Today it helped out a lot to say the least. I was going to make myself some lunch, but I needed to open a bag. I couldn't find the scissors, so I used a knife(bad idea..:/) The knife slipped and cut my finger in an upward position. It kept on bleeding and not stopping. I stayed calm and applied direct pressure for quite some time and it finally stopped. It hurt pretty bad.. :/ definitely not a fun experience with a kitchen knife. I am not sure if I want to use a knife again..or not that particular knife.. I also was able to help Tisha out today. She cut her thumb really bad on some glass, but they were going to the Opera. When they got back, she told me I needed to help her with her cut. It was pretty deep. I asked around for some hydrogen peroxide and got some from Taylor, as well as cotton swabs. I cleaned her wound up and felt really good about myself. I was able to help someone in need and use some amazing skills that I have learned. This is why I want to be a doctor so badly, so I can help those in need...help them feel comforted. I stayed calm throughout 'doctoring' Tisha up. It was pretty neat(yes, I am a nerd..) I am grateful for skills such as these so I can help people and bring them comfort.
I am a certified Emergency Medical Technician. I love to help people. I can't wait to carry these skills further when I become a doctor. :)

Loyal Fan...?
Yes, I am a loyal Jazz fan, have been since I was little. They have had a pretty good season so far. But as of late, they are just stinking up the place. They were up there with Dallas and San Antonio, now they are at the bottom of the heap in the West. Typical of the Jazz to do, always sucking up the place with losing and never showing up to games. As of now they have lost 4 straight and are well on their way to losing their 5th. The Lakers are just dominating right now...of course the Jazz decided to not show up, when do they ever? In the end, it comes down to selfishness, and who actually wants to play. I'll be surprised if they actually make the playoffs this year. Let's just see if that happens...with the way they are playing, you can almost guarantee they will not make it. They will finish the year out at the bottom of the heap and if we're lucky maybe get a lottery draft pick. Maybe it's about time for Sloan to retire...go back to that farm of his. I don't think there are any more gray hairs to be had for how the Jazz play and what stress they bring him. They need to be more consistent, and until they learn how to do that, they won't make it really far. I'm not saying I want Sloan to retire. I respect him as a coach, he is great. It's apparent the team doesn't listen to him, or what he tries to do doesn't work, so maybe the Jazz need a new face? This is just rantings from a frustrated fan, tired of being disappointed and let down by the Jazz. I have stuck by them this long, I guess I can still. I'm just not sure for how much longer... At least, the Spurs(my second favorite team) are on top of the West, which is great. If one of my teams doesn't want to show up, then I will root for the other.
Hopefully, they can get back on their feet and wake up and start winning again..... Until they prove me otherwise, for now on I call all of their upcoming games losses on their part.

Welcome to Wherever You Are.
Welcome to wherever you are, this is where you are supposed to be. I have been told that where I am now is where I am supposed to be, I am supposed to be finishing school, fulfilling my dreams. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. We are supposed to be where we are in our lives. We have made it this far, right here, right now is where we are supposed to be. Life may be hard along the way, but we aren't left to go through it alone. Life is a wonderful journey meant to be enjoyed, no matter how hard it is along the way. What you put in to that journey is what you will get out of it. Welcome to wherever you are. Be who you want to be, be who you are.
