Forget Not...

Forget Not...

1. To be patient with yourself
2. The difference between good and foolish sacrifices
3. To be happy now
4. The why of the Gospel
5. That the Lord loves you

This is from President Uctdorf's talk he gave during the general Relief Society meeting, I absolutely love it. Never forget these five things...I have a firm testimony of this wonderful Gospel, the Lord knows and loves us, he is always there for us. No matter how hard life may be we must remain happy. :) Remember the many blessings we have, don't look to the bad. "Never stop striving for the best that is in you. Never stop hoping for all the righteous desires in your life." Cherish every day moments, never let a day pass you by. :) "The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not an obligation, it is a pathway." Heavenly Father loves us, no matter what, we are not forgotten. He knows us by personally by name!

I truly am grateful to have this great knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me and I am not forgotten. I love this Gospel with all my heart...it is the only true church on this earth. This wonderful talk is why I look forward to general conference every year. The spirit is so amazing and strong...the words spoken are truly from God.

Life is good. :)

Life is good. :) I love college, my family and my friends. College classes are stressful as ever, but I love to learn, and having that opportunity to go to class everyday is a blessing. Even though I have to walk up a huge hill every morning, which in fact will be the death of me...it's all worth it. Utah State is a great school, I am really glad I chose to come here, it's where I need to be. I knew it was the school I needed to come to the moment I stepped  on campus. :)

Utah State :)

I love having the support from an amazing family. They are the absolute best, I don't know where I would be without them. I love knowing my parents are just a phone call away when I need them, even if it's just to say hi, or see how they're doing. Being away from family is tough, but I am not as homesick as I was my freshman year. I have grown a lot more, and I am getting used to the whole college experience. Working in Montana this summer helped too, even though it was different because I was much farther away. One thing I will always remember when it comes to family, is always say you love them, no matter what.

My awesome family :)

I love my friends, they are awesome. :) Friends can always make you laugh and there are always good times. I also have a closer friendship with my friend, Evan, who I have never had so much in common with one person before, which is awesome. :) I have made new friends this school year with my roommates, Rachel, Alison, and Kaitlin who are so awesome, they make me laugh everyday. We have had some really good times in our apartment so far this school year. :) I have always had great times with my friends throughout my whole life. :) I look forward to strengthening relationships with my friends and making awesome memories. :)

Remembering September 11, 2001

I was in fourth grade when it happened. I didn't know what to think. Our nation had been attacked by terrorists. Though it was far from home, it hit hard because my aunt was supposed to be on one of the planes to New York that day, but it was miraculously canceled. A teacher at my school had family in New York, she was anxious to find out if they were okay. Over 2,000 people lost their lives that day. Firefighters, volunteers, search dogs...searched the rubble of ground zero for many countless hours searching for missing loved ones. I remember seeing the footage, it was very touching to see. I will never forget what happened that day, our country became united as one.

Utah State 2011-2012 :)

It feels so great to be back in Good Ol' Logan, I have definitely missed it! Utah State is such an awesome school, I just love the campus. Logan is home...I have grown to love this town, there are so many great memories here from my freshman year. It was weird not to be living in student housing, especially not being in Jones Hall and seeing all my friends from last school year. The majority of my friends are either serving a mission or about to leave to go on a mission. Time really flies, this year is already almost over! I am looking forward to another great year at Utah State and more adventures in Logan. :) I have great roommates- Kaitlin, Rachel and Alison. I live off campus this year, which is a little closer to campus than Jones was. I must say, Logan has some gnarly hills. I get a work out every morning when walking up the hill closest to my apartment when I go to class. I have also put some miles on my bike around Logan as well since the new school year has started, I have gone to the Logan Temple two times and to my favorite park. Riding up those hills is an adventure, I try to avoid them as much as I can, but they are everywhere here! Riding down the hills is a lot of fun though. :)

As far as classes go, I am only taking 14 credits and the majority of my classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with the exception of institute. After spending almost $400 on books, I am less than pleased, but that's college. This year will be great though, I am looking forward to what lies ahead for the school year. Tests, cramming, studying, countless hours at the library, homework, homework and more homework, it will all be worth it. Welcome back to college. :)

I love Utah State! :)
